Description: Here is one that is slow like molasses, as quiet as a church mouse, steady as an oak but his name is Cypress. Cypress is a real stocky built 10 year old John(Gelding) mule that stands between 15.1 and 15.2hh. He has a nice thick mane and forelock on him, has a good wither that holds a saddle well and has a thick rump. Cypress has been trail ridden throughout Kentucky and surrounding states and been on numerous camping trips. Cypress is easy to handle, perfectly fine with his ears and ok with his feet. As yo can see in the our videos we have crawled all around and under him and he doesn’t care a bit! He will ride in a britchen or tail crupper either one and is easy to tack up. He has never offered to kick!!! Cypress is steady as can be… leaf blowers, tarps, whips, gunfire off his back, traffic… Cypress just takes whatever comes at him like a champ! He rides good on trails and staying true to his mule traits he is very sure footed on rough rocky trails and will pick his way through a sticky situation and not freak out on tight trails. He will cross logs, creeks, ditches, scale slick rocks and climb steep slopes. Cypress rides good in traffic and is not shy around semi trucks, log or dump trucks, motorcycles or cars. He is also safe on highways and will ride past mailboxes and dogs running at him barking. Cypress has a very smooth 4-beat foxtrotting gait and he will flow along very smoothly at 6-8mph on a loose rein as you can see in our videos he rides right beside of a very nicely gaited horse at the same pace. He is perfectly content to walk along slowly like a quarter horse but moves out nicely when asked. In addition to a smooth gait he will canter as well. If you looking to take it slow and easy and are not in a hurry then Cypress could be a good match for you!
