Fabulous is a 7 year old big licked mare directly out of Southern Sunrise and a Patriot mare, Patriots Funny Face. When I first saw her as a two year old at the world championships I rated her as the best horse on the show grounds. Others agreed as she sold for over 10 Grand. The gentleman who bought her planned to show her as a senior citizen but due his health that never happened and I was able to buy her a few years latter. I set her up to show without hiring any professional help but did have some great coaching along the way…. (Thanks  Reggie) She won many classes last summer the two highest honors we received were at the Mid America Show, she tied on a majority draw and received reserve champion in the men’s foxtrot class behind a professionally trained and shown mare. At the World championships we won Reserve champion 4 year old and older mare in a class of 24. She is also breeder’s cup qualified. That being said she has not nearly reached her peak due to my inexperience and novice skill as a rider. I have never trained a champion horse before, with the proper trainer and a better rider she could be unbeatable and go down as one of the all-time greats, she is that good.
I have included some links to videos of us practicing the show gaits at a slow, deliberate rate to be very precise. This mare naturally wants to travel at a big loose run walk but the videos are of a smooth rhythmic foxtrot and flatfoot walk. I have trail rode her some and a lot down gravel roads and she does fine with that if you are looking for the fanciest trail horse ever. A lot of people want a trail horse with a lot of experience but in my opinion no trail horse ever gets the amount of Riding and experience as one that has been shown. In training I rode her every day and sometimes multiple time a day only giving her a break if she got wore down after days without a break. She was then shown at fairs and shows all over Missouri. Point being she is very broke and ready for whatever use you desire.
Fabulous is a big mare 15.1 hand and very stout. I am 6.5 feet tall and 235 lbs and make every horse look small. she is a true bay with the darkest and thickest mane tail and stocking naturally possible without die. She also has perfect conformation, a good Mouth “meaning bit control”, disposition and personality. Her father is one of the most famous studs in the breed ever Southern Sunrise, he is a palomino and with that in her genes and her a true bay she would throw a lot of buckskins, and palominos if bred. She is annoyingly smart meaning she will untie knots pick gates and take things you are using in her mouth and run off with them. She is a friendly horse with no vices.
