“Homestead is a 14.2 hands high 10 year-old super broke ranch horse good for pleasure trail rides or working cattle. She has been used for youth rodeo. As you can see in the movie, she loves to lope for a long time real slow, (really fun to ride).
Homestead has cruise control. That means if you tell her to trot, she knows not to canter or walk. If you tell her to canter, she won’t drop down to trot or walk.
Homestead will follow a fence-line real straight so that you don’t have to micro-manage her reins. She has a good stop if the rider sits down in the saddle, or you can pull back on two reins, or pull back on one rein. She has a good gas pedal. She listens to subtle leg cues like squeezing with legs…don’t stop squeezing until she gets up to the speed you want. She has a smooth departure. She will also move out by clucking. She’s in not shy of kids, dogs, bikes, other animals underfoot, or cattle. In short, she is an all-around honest mare that is a lot of fun to ride. She is current on all vaccinations and worming. The vet recommended we float her teeth which has been done. She is sound and healthy. Horse will ship from Ponca City, Oklahoma. Please feel free to contact me
