Description:
Lemondrop is a 8 year old Palomino Tobiano 1/2 Tennessee Walker, 3/8 Rocky Mountain Spotted Pony, and 1/8 Haflinger Draft. This sweet boyis a one of a kind, beautiful, well built gelding. With this mix you have a very wide built horse that is tall and strong and looks more like a quarter horse in the back and a walker in the front. He has great feet and as sure footed as any horse you will ever ride. He is a gorgeous golden Palomino Tobiano Gelding 15.1 hands. He rides the open New Mexico country two or three times a week and has been on and packed deer and elk hunts. The hunts consisted of 15 miles in the morning and 15 miles in the evening for five days riding and packing. He packs animals at a full gait and has been tied up for hours. He will go through water, step over downed fences, logs and does not spook. He has been on numerous camping trips and ridden in multiple states. He has a very smooth 4-beat gait and can move up to 12 mph, and a good walk. He has a smooth lope at two speeds. He is extremely powerful up big hills, and will go up or down anything. He is willing to slide on super steep areas and goes down as slow as you want. He will go up “any” hill. If you don’t want to go up, don’t tell him to do it! He is harness broke, and has driven many miles single and double on wagon trains and in parades He is a trail horse that can also be a work pony. I am 70 years old and just had another foot surgery. Horses may no longer be in my future sadly.
