Meet Shadow everyone, Shadow is a grade Kentucky Mountain Saddle horse, he is vet checked all the way, he is an 11yrs old, 14.3hh, up to date on everything, and BEAUTIFUL as everything!!! Shadow has a quiet personality, always willing to please, smooth as silk, loves to be groomed, loves attention, he is in your pocket type of a horse.
If you are looking to have the most beautiful gaited horse at the trails that looks like a miniature Friesian, here he is! Shadow is a more of a lay back type of guy when you ride him, he will be great for anyone that can seat on the saddle and ride with light hands and great leg Q’s. Shadow will ALWAYS come up to you, no matter how big your pasture is, he rides great by himself and in a group of horse, goes anywhere you point him to. Although you can shoot guns off of Shadow he will not run off with you, he is not trained for field trail competition, all we do is trail ride him and occasionally target practice as you see on the video (however, it would not be hard to finish him to the field trail competition)
Shadow’s routine is : Turn out every evening with other geldings for about 2 hrs and all day on the weekends (back in the stalls at night), Feed once a day 2 scoops Bermuda and Alfalfa hay,
Ride once a week (when we have time) Shadow can be idle for months and he will always be the same.
