Description: Mules this rare come along about as often as unicorns!!! Sweet Pea is an absolute beautifully built, Molly mule, standing 15-15.1hh and she is 9 years old.
Where do I start on Sweet Pea? If you have watched her videos then I’m pretty sure she speaks loud and clear for herself! She is a friendly type of mule and she’s easy to catch or handle. She is not ear shy and is easy to handle her feet. Sweet Pea is a very safe, laid back gal that is content to walk on a loose rein or even content to walk along with out a bridle on and just a rein around her neck. She is never in a hurry, just moseys along and enjoys the scenery. But man oh man when you want to move out this gal has one heck of a good transmission with all the gears anyone could ever hope for! She has a PERFECT 4-beat gait that is as smooth as anything Iv ridden!!! As you can see in the videos, I’m a “fluffy guy” got a little meat on my bones… ok ok, I’m chubby, I admit it! But when gaiting Sweet Pea my belly doesn’t even jiggle!!! She is that smooth all the way up to 10mph! She is so comfortable to ride and gaits smoothly for any rider regardless of how you hold the reins… She is so naturally gaited she gaits perfectly without a bridle or bit in her mouth! (If you’ve not watched the video please do!!!) She will gait out but slows right back down as soon as you ask her. She does have a little bit of neckrein to her, she will slide stop and of course everyone wants a nice short lope and Sweet Pea won’t let you down in that category either! She will one step lope like a western pleasure horse keeping her head low and slide stop directly into a good reverse.
Sweet Pea is great on trails and will cross creeks, ditches and logs. She is very traffic safe around log or semi trucks. She is also safe around gun fire, tarps, whips, trash cans, wind dancers, hanging noodles, balls of all kinds and will ride anywhere that she is asked to go. She is a great team mate on the basketball court although she can’t catch but she won’t jump if the ball bounces off of her, even when it bounces off of her head(accident sorry gal!).
Sweet Pea has been on numerous camping trips and has been trail ridden in multiple states. She has been ridden by adults and ridden by kids as young as 7 years old. She has also been to fun shows and been shown by every member of the family and has won ribbons not only in mule specific classes but also in open horse classes… yes that’s right she has beat plenty of horses in trail pleasure classes! With a gait so smooth, her head down low and the reins dropped loose, of course any judge would pick her to ride on the trails! She is “keg” shod, nothing special just plain old trail shoes is all she needs and she can go barefoot and gait just the same that way as well.
Safe for the whole family?
Beauty and brains?
Smooth 4-beat gait?
Experienced?
Traffic safe?
Gun Safe?
Obstacle Trained?
Virtually bombproof?
Good with ears?
Good with feet?
The chances of finding another mule just like her is about the same odds as finding a unicorn!!!
